Located in the Heritage Town of Listowel, in Co. Kerry, Ireland, this is a suitcase ready family home and separate self catering business with activity add-on equipment is also wheelchair accessible. We are retiring!

We have had the privilege of hosting guests from the world:- Australia, Canada, South America, Middle East, Asia, UK, Germany, France, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Italy and the USA . Many have invited us to their homes for holidays.

With the holiday rental property in Kerry, it is also possible to join others to mutually swap this property and holiday in other properties worldwide without paying rental charges.

The property is all on one level and because of this, it is more favourable to guests with limited ability and those with small children because there are no stairs to climb - nor fall down!

With the Doc M bathroom, the electric hoist, widened doorways and lowered light switches, the property is ideal for respite care.

DUE TO COVID, Self catering is the safest form of accommodation as you are not mixing with others as in B and B's, Guesthouses, Hotels etc.


Total property is on circa 0.8 of an acre.

You have access to upload and add information to these websites with your own extranet log-in.

It is registered as a business.

The all one-level property is suitable for persons with limited mobility or a wheelchair user.

Doors are wider than normal and some light switches have been lowered.

There is also an electric hoist available if required by guest. (Hire it or include in rental)

Either doors leading into the en-suite can be locked allowing it to be private to the bedroom or open it for guest’s visitors.


A cot is also available and the extra bed linen plus towels are included for all rooms.

Accessed by stairs in the back hall to a newly constructed room.

There is a huge separate attic space.



On the business side there is a patio area with “cottage design” store. The lawn is open for guest use.

Currently closed in, there is a lovely well on the right hand side of the northern boundary.

On the family home side, there are two tool/storage sheds.


Permission was granted to build another bungalow.

We didn’t follow up on the build which would have been situated near to northern side.

The two connected pipes for waste and water are visible in the garden.


The original flat-roof house still exists internally so much of the property is double-roofed.


When we moved in we added new plasterboard to all ceilings and walls and added insulation.




The business has €20.000 worth of hire equipment going with it.

5 bicycles plus 2 All-terrain wheelchairs.

With the advent of the Greenway only 650m from the property, these will be an asset for hire.


*Archery equipment – bows, arrows, large targets and arm/finger protectors.

Airsoft equipment – pistols, rifles, gas, targets and camo nets.


*We have a contact who will supply replenishment of the a/m items at low cost and who seems interested in having a person who would retail equipment/supplies in Listowel.

We are happy to introduce the purchaser to him as this could be an add-on business on top of the self-catering.
